There are proven technologies to purge the concrete of chlorides and permanently prevent reentry of the water or chlorides. Also there are products available in the U.S., U.S. manufactured that can repair concrete, even in severe service applications such as salt water exposed cast in place dams, that require no under or shelf cutting and can be applied at over 1 FT thick with no slump in one application. I have just such an application on the Mt. Holly N.J. dam completed in 1988 that as of 2010 shows no further damage to the repairs or further rebar iron jacking.
Safe GREEN proven technologies are out there finding them and proving the facts is the difficult part. These types of technologies ( proven, permanent ) are here today and some have been in use for over 40 years. Jim G. @mmginc1@aol.com
