Trained as an architect in Argentina and holding a Master’s degree in Architecture from the United States, Maria brings 25 years of professional experience to her work. Her international education and extensive experience have shaped a thoughtful, versatile approach to architecture and design.  Her career has included work in architectural practice, project management, and as an independent specifier, giving her a broad perspective on how projects move from design intent to construction.

Writing technical content in English, as my second language, is one of my biggest accomplishments, professionally. Specifications demand an extraordinary level of clarity and precision, where the meaning of a single word can matter. Mastering that language while building a career as a specifier reflects the persistence, attention to detail, and commitment to learning that she brings to every project.

Her experience as both an architect and specifier has also shaped a fundamental belief about construction documents: specifications are every bit as important as the drawings. Drawings communicate what we can see; specifications capture the requirements, quality, performance, and execution necessary to make the design a reality. The two must work together to communicate a complete design intent.

That same sense of commitment extends beyond her professional life. Originally from Argentina, Maria places tremendous value on family and enduring relationships and has been married for 30 years. She brings that grounded, collaborative perspective to her work, valuing strong relationships, clear communication, and the shared responsibility required to deliver successful projects.
