CSI's Innovation in Construction Award
The award recognizes Conspectus for successfully and innovatively developing, adopting and applying a new technology and project delivery system - Conspectus Cloud - for the architectural, engineering and construction industry. Since the inception of the award over fifteen years ago, only four other organizations have received it.
Conspectus Cloud received written endorsements from six industry professionals who worked with the platform. About Conspectus Cloud
Conspectus Cloud, a software technology and web-based platform, is used to provide transparency within the project team, resulting in a positive transformation of behavior, document content and project outcome. It improves processes, organizational efficiencies, and cost controls for projects. The primary function of Conspectus Cloud is to manage the full information stream from initial Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR) through design, construction, and occupancy. It provides a meaningful way to manage and integrate the vast amounts of non-graphic information (specifications) to provide value to all participants in the process.
UniFormat™ (UF) and MasterFormat® (MF)
The first ever of its kind, Conspectus Cloud merges two types of specifications documents, UniFormat™ (UF) and MasterFormat® (MF), into a single, integrated platform. The platform permits simultaneous, coordinated development of both UF and MF documents as project specifications. As decisions are made and the documents develop, UF assemblies are easily linked to MF in Conspectus Cloud to create the deliverables necessary at each phase. The use of these two formats has an impact on the Construction Specification Institute, at all levels. Conspectus Cloud promotes, supports and utilizes these formats, developed by CSI, to the entire industry.
