Call it a fascination. Last week I had the opportunity to attend a Prosoco seminar about fluid applied air barriers at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. The building is located in an industrial section of the city near the airport and the automall.
The museum is a treasure. The exhibits showcase racing cars: Ferraris, Maseratis, Bugattis, and yes two different Stutz Bearcats. The photo shows a 1916 Stutz Bearcat. These powerful cars competed extensively throughout America and spurred passenger car sales as "the car that made good in a day."
Is there a personal connection to this car? Not that I know of. But the namesake certainly promotes an interest in a prominent American car.
